Engineer One has upgraded the boiler blowdown system for Komsomolsky Refinery
Blowing down a boiler is necessary to ensure that the boiler can deliver clean, dry steam to the heating system, but getting it wrong can lead to energy losses. Until recently Komsomolsky Refinery had manual control of boiler blowdown system and it led to water overuse. In order to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective steam production, it was essential for facility to automate the boiler blowdown system for its four steam boilers.
As an EPC contractor for the project Engineer One has designed the technical solution and carried out delivery of equipment, installation and commissioning works. We also have installed measurement and control devices to make possible analysis and management of energy costs.
Automatic boiler blowdown control will help the facility to control boiler blowdown system remotely and cut water and energy consumption.
